Course Overview
Rehab Express is a 1-day, hands-on practical workshop that introduces fitness professionals to the foundational concepts of pain-safe programming, injury prevention, and movement-based rehab. Using simple tools like dowels and resistance bands, participants learn how to assess and address the five most common movement dysfunctions seen in general populations.
The course is designed to be immediately applicable for fitness professionals in both civilian and military settings, as demonstrated by its current uptake by Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) instructors.

- Overview and classification
- Associated symptoms and client complaints
- Screening Tools and Assessment
- Dowel and bodyweight-based screening

Afternoon Sessions
- Corrective Strategies
- Exercise selection and regressions
- Band and dowel-based activation work
- Practical Programming
- Creating pain-safe exercise plans
- Integrating rehab strategies into group and PT sessions

Total Course Duration
- 7 contact hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break)
Assessment Methodology
- Practical Demonstration: Participants are assessed through real-time application of assessment and intervention strategies in a lab setting.
- Instructor Feedback: Real-time feedback and correction during peer-led sessions.
- Completion Criteria: Full attendance and satisfactory demonstration of practical skills to receive Certificate of Completion.
